Open Source Zombie - Film Project

Open Source Zombie is a fan based zombie film that was looking for funding to build a website to make the film, but received this already. It will be made 50% by outside groups, and the 50% by a core group concentrating on making a main plot, which is going to be written by fans online. The film project was started on Kickstarter, and is at 100% of £5000. We are now looking to push the funding to a new level to make the film even better. We are also looking for people of all kinds interested in real horror: film makers, musicians, fans etc. This is not a parody, comedy, teenagers running around in a forest film, but truly dark horror film. It will not be an ordinary zombie film, but there will be some changes to zombie consciousness, and the cause. The zombie consciousness will be based more on science, mostly due to the low budget of the film. The cause is a parasitic worm making human hosts more sexually active so that a proximity effect lets the worms travel to healthy individuals. The website is being designed as we speak, and tools for online collaborative writing are being tested. It is a Finnish-British co-production, and music-wise it will be quite a bit darker than your ordinary film. The makers have previously made a travel documentary to North Korea, organized tons of dark events, done music and experimental videos.
